How to Prevent a Bladder Infection?

Anyone who has had a bladder or a kidney infection knows how uncomfortable or even excruciating they can be. You can have burning sensations when you urinate, back pain, retention of urine and fevers. There can be a low grade fever with infections that are chronic and a high fever with a sudden on set of symptoms, so prevention is key!

Drinking plenty of distilled water everyday along with eating high nutrient foods will prevent these types, and other infections from occurring. Approximately eighty percent of our body is made up of liquid and most of those fluids are filtered through the bodies urinary system. So if we are asking our bodies to filter hard water, soda pop, alcohol, milk and other harsh fluids then this will result in damaged kidneys and bladders.

What kind of supplements can I take for a Bladder Infection?

I have found that along with dietary changes utilizing Dr. Christopher’s Kidney/Bladder formula is essential. This formula contains juniper, parsley, uva ursi, marshmallow root, lobelia, ginger root and goldenseal. It contains the right nutrients to break down calcium deposits, strengthen the urinary tract walls and muscles. In the event that there is urine retention juniper berry tea is the fastest acting diuretic I have used. I will also use dandelion tea if I don’t have any juniper on hand and I always get great results. If it is painful to urinate you can drink a demulcent or soothing tea such as marshmallow root or slippery elm bark to help.
